ACE PlatformLabelboxSupport Issues

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

For infrastructure issues, you will need to follow up with the proper team who configured delegated access for your Workspace. The contacts below are for the ACE Infra team only. You must reach out to the responsible team if your S3 bucket is managed by another team if you are experiencing infrastructure issues.

Definitions

ACE Infrastructure Team

This is the team at Genentech that provides assistance with SSO issues, AWS S3 storage issues, new workspace requests.

LabelBox User Interface

This is the Labelbox hybrid cloud environment provided to Genentech via Single Sign-on at the following URL https://app.labelbox.com

Delegated Access

Genentech’s preferred method of storage is in their private AWS S3 bucket. This can be connected to Labelbox via a method known as delegated access where the secure object is displayed within the Labelbox interface. No direct uploads to Labelbox cloud storage are permitted.

Labelbox Support Portal

Using the link from within the user interface, users are directed to Labelbox’s Jira portal for submitting general questions, product feedback, or issues. See here for how to access the support portal.

RACI

  • Responsible - Performs work to complete task
  • Accountable - Delegates and reviews work to deem “complete”
  • Consulted - May provide input and provide expertise
  • Informed - Kept in loop of overall progress

Workspace

This is a separate instance of the Labelbox application for a specific group at Genentech. It will have it’s own Labelbox admins, users, delegated access storage configuration, etc. Access will only be granted to those within that group.

  • If an application issue, general request, or product feedback needs to be initiated, the Workspace admin or user should open a request via Labelbox Support Portal. Labelbox support will address the issue within the timelines contracted and confirm with the requestor an agreeable resolution has been met. ACE Infra team may be consulted if the request involves delegated access storage or the infrastructure setup.

Login issues

We should specify whether the issue is on the Roche SSO side or Labelbox integration side as responsibilities are split.

  • If the login issue occurs at the Roche SSO layer, the ACE Infra team will coordinate with internal teams to remedy the user’s account. If the login issue occurs at the application layer - either an incorrect workspace or disabled account - the requestor will ask the workspace admin to open a ticket via the Labelbox Support Portal to remedy the issue.

Role/Permission issues

Primary responsibility will lie with the Labelbox admins for that particular workspace.

  • If the user is experiencing an issue with permissions, the workspace admin will grant the users the proper permissions in the workspace. If the workspace admin is unable to grant such permissions, they may open a ticket via the Labelbox Support Portal for Labelbox to remedy the issue.

Data source connectivity

This will require assistance from the ACE Infra team as well as a Labelbox admin for that particular workspace.

The workspace admin will work with the ACE Infra team to set up their appropriate AWS S3 storage area and create a delegated access connection to their Labelbox workspace. Instructions on how to configure a delegated access connection in Labelbox are provided. Please note that both of these steps need to be completed.
